Unlimited / unmetered hosting packages

Unlimited means unlimited webpages, domains and web graphics — not downloads or streaming media. Our servers are shared hosting servers and memory and CPU usage is not unlimited. CPU-intensive files are not permitted, and accounts may not host collections of MP3s, audio, video, anime, .rar files, warez, gaming sites, Shoutcast or similar, or be used to back up your computer or any other source, for general storage, or as download mirrors or upload portals.

The sale of eBooks and other legal small download files is permitted within reason, but mass storage where our servers act as a distribution point is not. Accounts may not be used for HYIP, Ponzi or pyramid schemes, or to provide proxy servers. “Unacceptable” usage is anything a shared server could not provide under standard circumstances, or that uses a high percentage (10%+) of CPU or memory.

Free hosting

Free hosting is not permitted on unlimited packages; if you intend to offer free domain-based hosting, choose a metered package. Sub-domain hosting is only permitted within reason and your clients are expected to have their own domain. If free hosting you provide compromises our business customers, we may ask you to switch to a metered package.

Our servers are web servers: file hosting you can view in a browser (PHP, SQL, HTML, JPG, GIF, PNG, XML, PDF). If it cannot be viewed in a browser or needs special software, it is a download or multimedia file.

Data backup

Although regular backups are performed, we are not responsible for any loss of data. You must keep a local copy of your web data for your own backup purposes.

You may keep only one backup at a time in your account, for 3 days. Backups older than 3 days are deleted, so download your backup file within 3 days to avoid data loss.

Acceptable use

We expect customers to use the Internet with respect, courtesy and responsibility, with due regard to the rights of other users. Our acceptable use policy is actively and strictly enforced: offending content or users are removed from our network, and we will always tell you when and why action was taken.

Illegality and undesirable content

Illegal use in any form is prohibited, including unauthorised distribution or copying of copyrighted software or data, harassment, fraud or trafficking in obscene material.

We do not host pornographic content of any description, and we decide what constitutes such content. Content relating to hacking, cracking, warez and IRC is not allowed. Software downloads may only be hosted if you are the author and copyright owner; freeware, shareware and trial software are forbidden. The sale of resellable eBooks is allowed.

Bulk email and spam

Using our network to send bulk email, opt-in or otherwise, or using bulk email to promote a site on our network, is strictly forbidden. As a guideline, sending over 150 emails at once is bulk email.

Spamming — sending unsolicited email, or posting to irrelevant newsgroups that do not allow advertising, with references to a site hosted on our servers — is strictly prohibited.

Misuse of resources

This includes applications that consume excessive CPU time, memory or storage. Chat/IRC, web proxy and mailing-list scripts are not allowed. Streaming media, audio, video and Shoutcast are not allowed. CGI forums using flat-file databases often use excessive resources; please use a PHP forum. Webcam applications that keep a constant FTP connection open are forbidden.

Shared and reseller customers may not provide free hosting services such as image, file or MP3 hosting. Resellers may sell paid hosting but may not provide any free hosting or similar service.

Password-protected directories

Using password-protected directories for illegal activity is strictly prohibited. Sites whose use of protected directories is unclear may be suspended while we investigate. If you are unsure about content you intend to place on our network, check with us first; we reserve the right to determine what is acceptable use.

Adult sites

Adult commercial sites are not permitted, including lingerie sales, adult toy e-commerce, Viagra sales, adult health and sexuality sites, even where all models are over 18. Pornographic media is not permitted.

Master resellers and resellers

If you resell hosting on our servers you are responsible for what your clients do and for enforcing these terms. If your clients repeatedly break them, causing illegal activity or server downtime, your account will be in jeopardy.

Moving to another host

When you move to another host, the contract between you and us is cancelled and we are not liable for any activity (including data loss) after the transfer, nor bound to provide further support. If you move only hosting and want to keep your domains with us, you must tell us; otherwise all services are cancelled with the contract.

Domain registration and renewal

Domain registrations and domain reseller services are not covered by any money-back guarantee. Funds added to a domain reseller account are not refundable under any circumstances.

Server management

Our server management covers operating system installation, upgrade and reinstallation, email troubleshooting, DNS management, WHM/cPanel installation and basic troubleshooting, MySQL management and related services. Third-party add-ons and modules are not covered.

Penalties

If illegal content is found, the account is suspended immediately without warning and a penalty of USD 50 to USD 500 applies, depending on your plan.
