How to reboot your VPS
Restart, shut down or start a VPS from your HostChacho account.
- Sign in and open Services.
- Under your VPS, choose Reboot, Shut down or Start.
A reboot usually takes a minute or two. Anything unsaved in running programs is lost, as with any restart.
Rebooting from the command line
If you can still connect over SSH, a clean restart from the server is gentler:
sudo reboot
If the server doesn't come back
Open a support ticket and choose Technical support. Include what you were doing before the problem started, and attach any error messages as screenshots or log files.
