How to point your domain to HostChacho
Change your domain's nameservers so it shows the website you host with us.
A domain shows the website of whichever company its nameservers point to. To show your HostChacho website, set the domain's nameservers to ours.
If the domain is registered with HostChacho
Domains ordered together with hosting are pointed at it for you. To change them yourself:
- Sign in and open Domains.
- Choose Manage next to the domain.
- Enter the nameservers from your hosting welcome email and choose Save nameservers.
If the domain is registered somewhere else
Sign in at the company where you registered the domain, find its nameserver or DNS settings, and replace the existing nameservers with the ones from your HostChacho welcome email. You can also transfer the domain to us to manage everything in one place.
How long it takes
Most changes work within a few hours. Occasionally it takes up to 48 hours, while internet providers around the world refresh their records. During that time some visitors may still see the old website.
Using Cloudflare
To use Cloudflare, set your domain's nameservers to the pair Cloudflare gives you, then add your HostChacho server's address in Cloudflare's DNS settings.
